The Nutcracker

Each year during the Christmas season, audiences around the world are transported into a magical world of holiday celebrations, courageous soldiers, mischievous mice, sparkling snowflakes, and waltzing flowers. As the most performed ballet in the world, the Nutcracker has become a cherished tradition for generations of families. Through Clara’s enchanting journey, we are reminded that dreams can come alive through imagination, courage, and wonder.

Eight years ago, Mount Dora School of Ballet embraced a dream of bringing this timeless holiday classic to our dancers and community. What began as a production of Act II has grown into a full-length Nutcracker. Our students share the stage with professional guest artists, MDSB alumni, and valued community members. Together, we have inspired thousands of audience members while establishing treasured holiday traditions for families throughout our community.
