Contemporary ballet is a dance style that combines classical ballet technique with the freedom, floorwork, and expressive range of modern dance.

Class Schedule 2026-2027

CONTEMPORARY 1 (Advanced)(Studio 1) – TUESDAY – 8:30– 9:30 p.m.
CONTEMPORARY 2 (Intermediate)(Studio 3) – TUESDAY – 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
CONTEMPORARY 3 (Beginner)(Studio 3) – TUESDAY – 6:45 – 7:30 p.m.

Dress Code:

Ladies:
- MDSB Class Uniform Leo or MDSB Black Pinch Front SoDanca Tank Leo
- 1916 BPK Transition Tight
- Light Pink Ballet Split Sole Leather Ballet Shoes
- White Waist Alignment Belt
- Ladies must have their hair pulled back from their faces and secured in a bun. Short hair can be pulled up from the neck and secured with a large barrette.
Gentlemen:
- MDSB White Short Sleeve Dance Top (tight fitting)
- Black Male Footless/Convertible Tights
- Male Dance Belt
- White Split Sole Leather or Canvas Ballet Shoes
- White Thin Socks
- Gentlemen should have their hair neatly combed and out of their faces.

We are pleased and excited to welcome you to another year at the Mount Dora School of Ballet. Our priority is not only to train our students to become technically proficient dancers, but more importantly to teach the lifelong lessons of commitment, the value of hard work and discipline, and to inspire a passion for the arts. Ballet also develops poise and encourages confidence in presenting oneself.
