Mount Dora School of Ballet students to perform “Alice in Wonderland” at LSSC

When students perform at noon and at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Paul P. Williams Auditorium at Lake-Sumter State College, people may notice the school has a deeper bench than ever. Mount Dora School of Ballet dancers to perform “Paquita” and “The Little Mermaid” at Lake Sumter State College

May 8, 2014 | By Christine Cole, Correspondent LEESBURG — Students in the upper Classical Ballet Division, from the Mount Dora School of Ballet enjoy performing in "Paquita" because they get to wear beautiful  tutus. Janice Barringer, former ballerina from Mount Dora, to teach master class

Join Us This Saturday for a Master Class Featuring Janice Barringer

Janice Barringer will be teaching a Master Ballet and Pointe Class for ages 13 and up at the Mount Dora School of Ballet on Saturday, December 14th from 10:00 until 12:00. Your dancers are cordially invited to attend the class, and teachers are welcome to come and observe. The fee for the two hour class is $10.00 per dancer. There is no fee for teachers. Ballet technique is the foundation of our curriculum. Our faculty follows a syllabus steeped in the Russian tradition. The school has three distinct divisions. Our Children’s Division is for girls and boys ages 3 to 7 and our Classical Ballet Division is for girls and boys 8 to 19.
